Recent Steadicam Work

I’ve been working a lot lately and stuff is trickling out of post production and into the world. Here are a couple new videos that I did last month that have finally came out.

The first is a project produced by None the Less Productions.
It was shot in the middle of the last LA heat wave so it was a bit of a brutal day. I remember having to ice down batteries to get them down to charging temperature… and that was while they were in the shade.

 The second video is a single take/single camera music video that was filmed and recorded live in a recording studio. Everyone had to be on their game to make this come together. No one wanted to mess up each others perfect take.
Not only was the single take a challenge, the fact we were shooting in a rather small recording studio didn’t help either. I had to navigate between microphone stands, light stands and instruments while also trying to avoid my shadow ruining the shot. It was quite fun.
